Hi Molly!
Thank you for sharing with everyone your responses to other people’s questions. I have one that I was hoping you may be able to help me with (since no one has yet.) I’m searching for a blush! I’ve been using the Chanel Rose Petale, but it doesn’t last! I wear the Mat Lumiere liquid foundation in 40 Beige. I have oily skin and am always recommended something with shimmer, or it’s just never enough (or the right) color. I’m 27 and want to go to work and out in the evenings looking fresh, not haggard. I do appreciate your help!
All the best,
Nicole
Hi Nicole! Thank you for your question! A great blush is so important to your makeup repertoire. I always recommend choosing one that is brighter and more pigmented than you would think. That way you are using less of it, yet packing a glowing punch. Even though your skin tends to be oily, I would still recommend using first a cream blush and then setting it with a powder blush.
I love the NYX cosmetics cream blush sticks. They are not greasy at all and come in a huge variety of colors and since you can’t beat the price, you can actually try them all! I would say my favorite shade of the moment is: Tea Rose.

I also Laura Mercier Cream Blush. Gorgeous consistency and wears beautifully. I can’t get enough of the color Sunrise. It’s bright and gives the complexion a whole new life.

As far as powder blushes go:
I am still totally dedicated to NARS blush in sex appeal as a finishing dust. It’s a soft pink that just adds a perfect glow to nearly every skin tone.

If the whole cream and powder combo feels like too much. I strongly suggest you try NARS powder blush in Liberte. It’s a true flush of color. Super pigmented and bright, so go easy, but it lasts and it’s glorious.

Good luck, and I always say, don’t be afraid of color, NOTHING looks better than a happy bright glowing cheek. Make everyone think you just had the best make out session of your life.

Molly
