I was wondering if you have any tips, or products you could tell me that helps keep make up on and not melt away in the heat. When I’m working i’m constantly moving so my make up sweats off which is so disgusting and embarrassing! :( Help a girl in need pleaaaaase :/ With Summer just around the corner, I’m doomed. I dream of a day where a girl can wear her foundation in peace. hahaha
I can really shvitz it up as well. There is nothing worse than feeling overheated and the sweat that follows that feeling.
First bit of advice is to carry around something in your bag that will cool you down. A couple of great cooling tools are:
My fav:
JURLIQUE Rose Water Balancing Mist: http://www.jurlique.com/skin-care/category/toning-mists/rbm/rosewater-balancing-mist. They come in small 1.0 fl ounce bottles and a quick spritz can immediately control my heat and mellow me out.

Next fav:
Peppermint Oil. A dab and sniff of pure peppermint oil can have an immediate cooling effect as well. I love the AMALA AROMA APOTHECARY Refresh Peppermint Concentrate: http://www.spiritbeautylounge.com/amala-aroma-apothecary-refresh-peppermint-concentrate.html. It’s rollerball applicator makes it easy to dab on the wrists or behind the ears sending instant chills down the spine.
As far as keeping your foundation on, in the summer months, best to use a primer, concealer and powder and try to forgo foundation. I find that when you prep the skin w/ a great primer, conceal your spots/dark circles and finish with a dust of powder, you don’t get that greasy mid morning/afternoon/evening pizza face feeling. Summer is a great time to keep your skin fresher, apply less and have less to sweat off. You can even replace the powder with some bronzer to pump up your summer glow.
Couple of summer skin must haves:
Great primer options:
NARS pro-prime SPF 30. Great for large pores. Press it in the skin using your finger wherever you tend to get the sweatiest. Apply concealer and powder on top where coverage is needed.

HOURGLASS Veil Mineral Primer: SPF 15. This is a great option to even out the entire skin surface without wearing a full face of foundation. Once applied, conceal anything that you can bear, and finish with your dust of powder or bronzer.

Excellent summer concealer:
LAURA MERCIER secret camouflage. This two shade system allows you to customize your perfect color. The consistency is a little dryer so it’s got great sticking power.

Powder for the sun:
CHANTECAILLE Protection Naturelle SPF 46. A great powder/bronzer! It’s all in one application makes it easy to carry and it’s smooth and transparent. Comes in two shades, Fair and Bronze. Also there’s the option to re-fill. And with the UVA/UVB protection it’s perfect for summer heat.

Last note, have fun, wear sunblock and let your summer vacation youthful spirit come out whenever you can. Enjoy the heat! Thanks for writing in. xx Molly
